6 – Using Ultraseek and Google to find additional related bills

(Updated 14 Jan 2012)

For some reason the Oregon Ultra seek search engine cannot always find all the relevant bills and it also drives you crazy with extra non-relevant data.

This is a way around the problem:  Use the Google search engine and enter the term as below:

[“Comprehensive birth control services” "leg.state.or.us"]

The [bracket] tells Google to limit the search to the search terms — “Comprehensive birth control services”  and site “leg.state.or.us”.  This is a very explicit search.

Although Google recommends you use this term:

[“Comprehensive birth control services” site:leg.state.or.us]

It does not work as well. In fact, it misses one of the documents it should find.
